Core & Pelvic Floor Education for Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Beyond

Most women receive minimal guidance about their pelvic floor health, typically just something along the lines of "do your Kegels." This can lead to issues like pelvic pain, incontinence, and diastasis recti - especially during pregnancy and after having kids.

Whether you're pregnant, had a vaginal delivery, are recovering from a C-section, or it's been 10+ years since your children were born, Dr. Anna's evidence-based pelvic floor workshops teach you how to rebuild your core & pelvic floor strength safely.

Normal "mom life problems" like peeing when sneezing aren't actually normal. They're treatable conditions that don’t have to stand between you and an active, confident lifestyle!

Absolutely! It’s often hard for moms to see a pelvic PT in person because of driving, childcare, costs, long wait lists, and just generally having a busy schedule. YES! Many moms experience pelvic floor symptoms like leaking, pelvic pain, or core weakness for years, sometimes decades, after childbirth. These issues don't resolve on their own, but they ARE treatable no matter how long it's been. Whether your youngest is 6 months or 16 years, it's never too late to rebuild your core & pelvic floor muscles and improve your overall health! MANY women in their 50s and 60s have attended Strong Core Mama workshops!

Can I join a workshop even if I had my kids years or decades ago?

A pelvic floor workshop is an educational event where you'll learn practical approaches for strengthening and caring for your core and pelvic floor. You'll walk away with a better understanding of how your body works and exercises that help reduce pain, prevent leaking, improve posture, and address core weakness so you can move confidently through all stages of motherhood.

Pelvic floor workshops are interactive and community-oriented, so you'll be able to ask Dr. Anna questions and connect with local mamas!

Frequently Asked Questions

Core and Pelvic Floor Workshops

Currently, the Fort Collins workshops are in-person only. That said, I’m working behind the scenes to develop virtual workshop options. Join the email list to be the first to know when they launch!

Research estimates that between a quarter and half of all women experience pelvic floor issues, but rarely seek help. If you leak urine when you cough, sneeze, or exercise, experience pelvic pain, tightness, or pressure, have pain during sex, want to heal diastasis recti (abdominal separation), or struggle with bladder issues and constipation, these are all signs that you should do pelvic floor physical therapy.

You may also not have any pelvic floor symptoms like leaking or pelvic pain, but struggle with back pain, hip pain, core weakness, or C-section scar healing. These symptoms are often related to your core and pelvic floor as well, and physical therapy can be extremely helpful.

Keep in mind that symptoms can appear during pregnancy, immediately postpartum, or even years after having children, but they're all treatable with proper care.

Pelvic floor issues like leaking, pain, and tightness are something that many women accept as a fact of life or feel embarrassed about seeking help. Dr. Anna helps break the stigma with evidence-based education so that more women can chase after their kids (and someday, grandkids) without worry.

Before specializing in pelvic floor physical therapy, Dr. Anna was a sports med PT for almost 10 years. She focuses on not JUST the pelvic floor, but also on issues like diastasis recti, weak core, and back or hip pain - all common issues during pregnancy and postpartum that are ultimately connected to the pelvic floor.
